The Comapedrosa Natural Park is organizing several night-sky observation activities this summer and early autumn at the Comapedrosa Mountain Refuge, with the aim of helping visitors discover the night sky and promoting respect for the natural environment.
The first activity took place last week as part of an environmental education initiative aimed exclusively at children attending the Esplai mountain week programme and staying at the refuge.
During July, August and September, observation sessions will be offered to guests staying at the Comapedrosa Refuge. The observations will take place after dark and will provide an opportunity to discover the main features visible in the night sky from one of the country’s most emblematic locations, recognised as a Starlight Reserve.
In addition, guests staying at the refuge who are interested will also be able to take part in an observation session at dawn the following day, before sunrise.
